Student Employee of the Year Process Info

Each spring, NSEA coordinates a selection process and chooses the National Student Employee of the Year to recognize the outstanding contributions and achievements of students who work while attending college.

SEOTY 2022

The NSEA SEOTY Committee, in agreement with the Board of Directors, has decided to highlight a total of 16 students (4 from each region). As we continue to evolve or Student Employee of the Year process, we are working with a new process to encourage participation and recognition in both 2-year and 4-year institutions. Supervisors will self-identify their institution type during the submission process. We have simplified the process by requiring a submission letter highlighting the student’s accomplishments.  The top four nomination letters from each region must be submitted to Mary Young ([email protected]) by March 15, 2022. Please note the following:

 Only undergraduate students will be considered for the submission process

• There is no restriction on length of employment for the student
• In place of "nomination" we will be using "submission" as there isn't one winner
• We have provided the NACE core competencies fact sheet to assist supervisors with their submission
